Synonyms: several due to various interpratations of the letter M… it is however most likely that the M stands for Mexico, as this variety stands out from other jalapeño types by having a higher pungency and more corking on the fruit which is appreciated in Mexico and not so much in USA…


Fruits are semi-mature, i.e. dark green with corking and fully developed in 73 days and are relatively long time to mature to red. Fruits are a bit long for a jalapeño, up to 7.5 cm.


Pungency level should be around 4.750 Scoville Units.
